How it works

Institutions mint and redeem. Everyone else just trades.

  1. 1

    Shares go to the custodian

An approved institution delivers listed shares to a licensed custodian, where they stay segregated and audited.

  2. 2

Tokens are minted one for one

The issuer mints one token on Solana for every share held. Holdings are published against supply, so anyone can check that they match.

  3. 3

    Trade around the clock

Tokens trade on Solana every hour of every day. Institutions redeem by returning tokens and taking delivery of the shares.

One share, one token, one price. No second rate.

For institutions

Funds, brokers, market makers and family offices that want to create or redeem tokens, or make markets in them, come in through onboarding: identity, ownership and source of funds, checked once.

After that, minting is a delivery of shares to the custodian and redemption is the reverse. Both settle against the same rule: one share, one token.

Onboarding opens with the first mint.

Questions

The ones institutions and wallet holders ask first.

What is a FrontierTokens token?

A token on Solana that tracks one listed share held with a licensed custodian. It gives you the share's price, in your wallet, around the clock. It is not the share itself: you hold a claim on the issuer, backed by that share, and you do not get voting rights.

Who can mint and redeem?

Approved institutions only: funds, brokers, market makers and similar firms that have completed onboarding. They deliver shares to the custodian and receive tokens, or return tokens and take delivery of the shares. Everyone else buys and sells tokens on-chain.

What does onboarding involve?

It is a border crossing, not a residency. An institution's identity, ownership and source of funds are checked once, against the rules of the issuer's jurisdiction. After that it can mint and redeem freely. Individuals never go through it, because they never mint.

Is every token backed?

One share for every token, held with the custodian in an account segregated from the issuer's own assets. Holdings are published against token supply so that anyone can check the two match.

Where do the tokens trade?

On Solana, on any venue that lists them. Venues appear on the tokens page as they go live.

Who cannot use FrontierTokens?

Residents and citizens of the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, and anyone subject to sanctions. Venues that list the tokens apply their own rules on top.

Which markets are covered?

Kazakhstan first: shares listed on KASE in Almaty and AIX in Astana. Other frontier markets follow when custody and legal cover are in place, and each one appears on the tokens page with its first token.

What are the main risks?

Frontier market shares move a lot, and the tenge moves against the dollar. Tokens depend on the issuer and the custodian doing their jobs, on Solana staying available, and on someone being on the other side of your trade. The disclosures below say this in full.

Disclosures

Not an offer
This site describes a product. It does not offer, or invite anyone to buy, any security or token anywhere that would be unlawful.
Who may not use the tokens
Tokens are not offered to, and may not be held by, residents or citizens of the United States, the United Kingdom or Canada, or by any person subject to sanctions.
What a token is
A token tracks the price of one listed share held with a licensed custodian. It is a claim on the issuer, not the share itself. Holders have no voting or other shareholder rights.
Risk
You can lose everything you put in. Frontier market shares and their currencies move sharply. Tokens depend on the issuer, the custodian, the exchanges the shares trade on and the Solana network. Liquidity may be thin or absent. Laws may change.
Not advice
Nothing here is investment, legal or tax advice. Decide with your own advisers.
Status
Some of what this site describes is not yet live. Until the first mint, no tokens exist and nothing here is an invitation to trade.
